ABOUT US

Mohammed Ali Kothdiwala,

Reflexologist, IEB

My aim, as a therapist, is to provide deeply relaxing and rejuvenating treatments that are tailored to the individual needs. My philosophy is to help uplift and support humanity during this shift of the ages through an energetic and positive transfer that comes from our hands.

Navigating through the stresses of life is surely no easy feat at all. Having experienced many trials and tribulation in my own life, my journey has always been steered towards, not only, helping myself and my family, but also the many individuals that have been placed in my path; those in need of advise, a kind word, comfort, support and counsel.

Helping others is a natural way of life for me. My work has been such that interaction with people on a personal level is very much my norm. At a rally “Stand up if you are fed up”, held in Barbados in March 2017, My son, Khaleel, addressed a 10,000 strong audience and eloquently put it as:

“My father has been a salesman on the road for most of his life. He is in touch with and on the ground with the people across the island on a daily basis. He knows who got married, who divorced, who died, who had a baby, who is sick, who got a new job and who was laid off. He sees, hears and lives the pulse of the people every day...” With 50 years experience of assisting others, it was quite natural for me to change my life long career and settle into my new role in therapy.

My journey with reflexology began in 2014 when I attended a life changing Reflexology Workshop. The effectiveness of this natural and subtle modality became apparent to me immediately. Realizing the potential emotional and physical benefits that can be achieved with the practice of Reflexology, I felt compelled and drawn into the adventure of a complete career change. I graduated with a Distinction in 2016, starting my new and exciting journey on the path of Reflexology. Reflexology is the means by which one can truly relax the mind, revive the body and rejuevenate the soul.

I have had some experience working at the various hospitals here in Barbados that is, in the General, Psychiatric and Geriatric settings, Polyclinics, the Children’s Development Centre and private therapy clinics. After working for a few years with my husband running our own retail business in Bridgetown, I returned to my natural calling as a therapist in 2015, and graduated top of my class from the Personal Health and Beauty Clinic and School with an International Technological Education Council Diploma in Reflexology. I continually adds to my professional development attending therapy courses and workshops in both Barbados and the United Kingdom.

I have worked with clients suffering from varied medical conditions, seeking to help restore and maintain their body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing. I believe strongly in the body's own ability to heal itself, through the will, wisdom and mercy of our Creator.

I am enthusiastic about making people aware of the benefits of reflexology, and I absolutely enjoy bringing balance and harmony back into people's lives through this healing art of Reflexology; In my opinion, Reflexology is truly a blessing from the Almighty, as He, in-keeping with His Mercy and Compassion to all of His creatures, has made the possibility of relief and/or healing so simple and accessible to everyone, through the manipulation of the feet, face and hands. I have been humbled by my own stresses and pains in life and feel strongly and even compelled to assist others in relieving theirs, Reflexology is a gift to us all.
